Our first impressions of the Kealakekua Bay, it is said that this translates into 'Pathway of the Gods', interesting place to be then...[smiles]
Do you notice the power of the water here ?
We call this Turtle Beach, a few turtles of about 40 cm visited us while being there, and a few small ones in the water, together with the numerous colored fish
This is an ancient sacred cemetry on the 'Place of Refuge'... good place for inner reflection and maybe a solitary walk-about
With the feet in the what once was called the 'Pool of Rebirth'... strangely the other little water place called the 'Pool of Death' - that I saw when visiting 1 year before] was gone... no more Death ?... cooollll !
Happy feet !
Find the turtle .... :-)
Place of Refuge ... a new 'ancient Hawaiian' village was built here for the purpose of showing visitors how the island was lived on in earlier times.... profound experience, as if the village talks to you
Canoeing is part of the great pleasure, fabulous fish, with the snorkling gear this underwater world is a universe on itself, and silent, which adds to the magic
Birds of many colors, all free and happy
The end of every day is 'supreme beauty'
Celebration of the New Year 2010... we were sleeping at the Manago hotel, a few miles away from the sea... and we were given fireworks as the owners of the hotel enjoyed their own way of celebrating... it was very very noisy
This were the cards that we 'created' after the question 'what is 2010 going to bring us'... the left hand 'mentor, the way, believe and trust' was for Joanna, and 'child nature, success, you home is protected by angels' are mine... and we both find now (end of 2010) that the cards were speaking 'oraclian truth'
